HAPPY-GO-LUCKY toddler Isla Grist is always beaming despite the pain and suffering caused by her severe skin blistering condition.

The 23-month-old tot is one of the UK’s “butterfly children”, whose skin flakes off at the slightest touch.

DebRA Celebrity Makeover

The most successful DebRA charity shop in the UK is having a celebrity makeover as part of a nationwide project.  DebRA in Merrow is the flagship store for the charity which raises money for those with the condition Epidermolysis Bullosa, known as EB.

The work of researchers, fund raisers and supporters of the charity DebRA will be celebrated at a reception hosted by First Minister Alex Salmond in Edinburgh Castle tonight (Tuesday 9th February).  It is hoped that the event will also boost awareness of the charity, which raises money to help children and adults with the genetic skin condition Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).
